HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!! |
Thanksgiving is amazing. Actually, it is really one of my favorite days of the entire year--if it's not my favorite already. Turkey, ham, and tons and tons of food, family and friends, and some great football--honestly, can it get any better than that?...Of course not.
But anyways, that's basically the point of this post. Just a special rant from myself to speak to my fellow readers' that are interested--and if you are, I greatly and deeply appreciate it.
I have grown up around sports and they have basically been in my flesh and blood since I was around seven or eight years old. I played football for about seven years, ending my playing days as a junior in high school--and played basketball in sixth and seventh grade, as well as tee-ball back in my younger days. But watching sports and following them--that has always been a huge part of me.
I'm a die hard NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA and NCAA football and basketball. I love them all and follow the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams, Blues, Missouri Tigers, and the Chicago Bulls. My dream ever since I could remember was to play professional sports--but with some events that took place in my earlier days, that doesn't look very possible anymore--but being a sports writer or broadcaster on the radio or TV has taken my dreams over.
I'm very thankful for the fact that I am even getting a chance to present my blog and own writing on the Jr. Blues, or for that matter, any writing that I do. I will be attending Lincoln Land in the coming winter semester and will hopefully work my way up to Mizzou, Northwestern, or Bradley (any three of them I would love for sports journalism--but Mizzou is my goal). I am mainly using this blog to show off my writing skills and to get followers who enjoy my blogging.
And since today is infact Thanksgiving, I do want to give a few shout-outs to some people that are very special to me and that I am very thankful to have in my life.
First and foremost, my mother, Lisa Cobb Henderson. Mom, you mean everything to me and you are the most incredible mom anybody could ever ask for. I love you with all my heart.
Secondly, my dad. Dad, Bill Cobb, we've been through a lot but we've come along way. You are an incredible dad and the best one that any kid could ask for. We have become best friends for sure and I love you pops.

Beautiful Hannah and Amy :) |
For the fourth, my amazingly beautiful girlfriend, Hannah Turley. You are my absolute number one best friend and that won't change. I'm so thankful to have found you and to have "our" relationship together that we have. You mean the world to me and I love you, Hannah.
There are a lot of other shout-outs I could do but just don't want to make this post toooo long (haha). And if I forgot you, know it wasn't on purpose and that I have major love for you as well.
I'm very thankful to be doing this and for getting the opportunity to report on the team. This is my dream and I am going to do whatever is needed or possible to go the distance.
But before I end this post, everybody enjoy your Thanksgiving day. Be blessed to be with the people you are with and enjoy it to the fullest. It's only one day a year that is made for something like this, so when you get the chance to absorb it--absorb it. I'm very thankful for all the followers and readers as well. Thanks for the support and can't wait to see everybody December 2nd back at the Nelson Center!
Good night all and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
