Bandits Best Jr. Blues, Sweep Weekend Series

The Saint Louis Bandits wasted no time to open up the scoring in this series as they netted three goals in the first period and a held a commanding 3-0 lead after the first twenty-minutes of play. Joesph Birmingham, Joe Kalisz, and Taylor Wolfe all three scored for St. Louis in the period, scoring all of them on Springfield goalie' Tyler Parks. Parks, who got the loss, converted saves on 29-of-35 total shots taken against him. Bandits' goalie Tyler Green, who was the winning goalie on the night, made saves on the 28-of-29 Springfield shots taken against him. St. Louis scored on two-of-five power play opportunities, and the Jr. Blues were 0-for-2. The Bandits won the game 6-1 and got one more goal each from the likes of both Joe Kalisz and Joesph Birmingham while another one from Frank Dichiara. The Jr. Blues got there lone goal from Chris Sitler at 8:43 in the second period.

Game 30: Saint Louis Bandits 4, Springfield Junior Blues 2

The second game of the weekend series on Saturday night was a completely different story between Springfield and St. Louis. The first period was highlighted by shutouts from both the Jr. Blues' goalie Connor Girard, and the Bandits' goalie Spencer Viele. The second period was the same way through most of it until Luc Boby scored a goal at 17:41. The Bandits then took a commanding three goal lead after just five minutes in the period when they got goals from Ryan Stouffer and Joe Kalisz. Springfield then added in two power-play goals from both Cody Kohn at 8:52, and Kyle Cook at 16:10. With the Bandits holding a 3-2 lead, Frank Dichiara then netted a power-play goal at 18:42 in the final period to put the game away with a 4-2 lead. The Jr. Blues went 2-for-2 with the extra man while the Bandits converted on one-of-three. Girard, who got the lost in the net for Springfield, made 33-of-37 saves on the night while Bandits' goalie Spencer Viele made 19-of-21 saves and got the win.
 
Game 31: Saint Louis Bandits 3, Springfield Junior Blues 2

On a night where the Junior Blues looked hungry enough to beat the Bandits, they once again came up empty. St. Louis scored only one powerplay goal on nine chances but it proved to be enough as the Bandits' goalie Tyler Green once again shutdown the offensive attack of Springfield by saving 28-of-30 shots. Connor Girard made 35-of-38 saves on the night but recieved the loss in net for Springfield. The Bandits got goals from Frank Dichiara (*powerplay), Luc Boby, and Joesph Birmingham. Scoring goals for Springfield was Joesph Pontasch (*powerplay), and Ruslan Pedan (*shorthanded). The Bandits completed the three-game weekend series sweep of the Jr. Blues and outshot Springfield by a total of 38-to-30.
